Watercolors, Drawings & Oils > Moloch I (& Process)

Moloch I, oil on canvas is a large-scale oil painting that I worked on over the course of 8 months. I finished the last details while the sun was setting on a day vomiting up gun violence across the country in which, of course, children were again murdered. Children dying in camps, washing up on shores, uncared for and lost. Along the way, I documented the process of making the painting, images of which are available here. A number of detail shots are also included in the collection. To those who commented and encouraged me on Facebook as I worked on this painting, thank you for watching this long process unfold with me, it helped to get through these quiet efforts knowing you're all out there. Thanks for helping make it happen.
