Nova Art
Nova Art was the second art exposition I founded and directed, and the first one not mobility-based, as with Artboat. My role involved brand invention and design; event planning; overseeing regular and temporary staff in coordination for pre- and on-site logistics; scout and rental of venues; contract for electrical and infrastructural changes to the facility, work with the Chicago Department of Buildings, Department of Cultural Affairs and Fire Marshall to develop one of the first non-traditional event space permits for art exposition in Chicago; marketing and publicity for the event in coordination with staff; solicitation and acquisition of exhibitor clients; coordinate Chicago's first fashion show aboard a CTA el train, solicitation of local business for permission to use display windows for temporary artists exhibition and Art Walk.
