Savage Model 64 FVXP Rimfire Rifle
A collaborative performance with Industry of the Ordinary protesting gun violence that was used as an Instagram exhibition for Performance Art Houston. The handling of the gun was a performative processing of Workman's teenage attempt at suicide using his father's .12 shotgun, which he kept loose and unlocked in his bedroom closet. Simultaneously a later-life conquest of his self-destructive impulses, it also incorporates a statement of disgusted refusal and dismissal of a machine that can too-easily be used to end life.
